SAMUEL J. LYNCH

RALEIGH -- Samuel Jackson Lynch 75, of 1667 Village Glen Drive, died Tuesday at Wake Medical Center after several month of declining health.

Mr. Lynch was born in Goldsboro and graduated from Goldsboro High School. He was a 1952 graduate of Guilford College, and was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard. His business career in the interior construction industry spanned over 40 years.

Mr. Lynch was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Jackson and Rachel Brock Lynch, his sister and brother-in-law, Laura and Bob Spencer, and his brother, George Lynch.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Ann B. Lynch; daughter, Becky Lynch-Stanley and her husband, Tod, of St. Simons Island, Ga.,; sons, Jack Lynch and his wife, Donna, of Raleigh, Mark Lynch and his wife, Anel, of Humble, Texas, and David Lynch of Denver, Colo.; brother, John Lynch and his wife, Gloria, of Wilmington; sister-in-law, Betty Lynch of Raleigh; grandchildren, Seth Lynch-Stanley of St. Simons Island, Ga., Jackson Lynch and Sarah Lynch of Raleigh.

A memorial service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Edenton Street United Methodist Church in Raleigh.

The family will receive friends today from 6 until 8 p.m. at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home on St. Mary's Street.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Raleigh Rescue Mission, 314 E. Hargett St., Raleigh, N.C., 27601; or to Edenton Street United Methodist Church, Chancel Choir, 228 W. Edenton St., Raleigh, N.C., 27603.
