LOUISE B. EDWARDS

Aug. 25, 1919-March 14, 2006

PRINCETON -- Louise Britt Edwards, age 86, died Tuesday morning in Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Born August 25, 1919, in Wayne County to the late James R. and Mary Frances Sutton Britt, she grew up in Goldsboro and was a graduate of Goldsboro High School. After her marriage to Waverly H. Edwards Jr., they worked together with the American Tobacco Market for many years until his death in 1968. She was a member of the Princeton Order of the Eastern Star and a very active member of Princeton United Methodist Church where she served on the Board of Trustees, Pastor-Parish Committee, the United Methodist Women and especially enjoyed her fellowship with the Lois Braswell Sunday School Class. She was well loved for her sweet nature and radiant smile.

Louise was preceded in death by a brother, James R. Britt.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Princeton United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bobby Fletcher officiating. Burial will follow in the Princeton Cemetery.

Surviving are her daughter, Mary Louise Edwards of Smithfield; special nieces and nephews, Jane Edwards of Greensboro, Jeff Edwards of Smithfield and Tommy and Kathy Edwards of Princeton; and six special caregivers, her "Angels".

Flowers are acceptable, or memorial contributions may be made to the Princeton United Methodist Church Music Sound Room Fund, P. O. Box 116, Princeton, N.C., 27569.

The family will receive friends Wednesday afternoon at the home and from 7 until 9 p.m. at the Parrish Funeral Home in Princeton.
