WILSON --William Jesse Evans, 66, of 4337 Pine Tree Court, died Tuesday his home.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday at 4 p.m. at Pikeville Cemetery in Pikeville. The Rev. Preston Taylor will officiate.
Mr. Evans was born in Wayne County to the late William Richard Evans and Elizabeth Bridges Evans. He was retired from Evans Machinery & Metal Fabricators.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret A. Evans; two daughters, Patricia Hudson and her husband, Jeffery, of Wilson and Teresa Hildebran and her husband, Gene, of Morganton; four brothers, Bobby Evans, John Lee Evans, Tony Evans and Donald Evans, all of Wilson; and three grandchildren, Jessica Hudson, Logan Hudson and Caleb Hildebran.
The family will receive friends today from 7 until 8:30 p.m. at Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont, and other times at the residence.
