Nellie Lewis Sullivan McDonald, 88, formerly of Goldsboro, died Tuesday at Onslow Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville.

The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Jimmy Whitfield and the Rev. Bill Rose officiating. Burial will be in Calypso Cemetery.

A Duplin County native, Mrs. McDonald was the daughter of the late John William Lewis and Olive Lee Lewis and was the widow of Samuel James Sullivan and John Thomas McDonald. She had worked as a secretary for the law firm of Roland Braswell and was a member of The First Pentecostal Holiness Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Ella Gray Jorgensen, and her husband, Larry, of Jacksonville; her grandchildren, Larry G. Jorgensen Jr. of Germany, James N. Jorgensen and wife Catherine of Raleigh, Jill Jorgensen Lake and husband John of Apex and Michael J. Jorgensen of Jacksonville; and her great-grandchildren, Emily Jorgensen, Larry G. Jorgensen III, Edmund Jorgensen, Grace Jorgensen; Janette Jorgensen, Samuel James Jorgensen, Martha Jane Jorgensen, Anna Jorgensen, Eleanor Jorgensen, Charlotte Jorgensen and Caroline Lake.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Sula Price, Louise Lewis, and Mildred Kennedy; and three brothers, Jesse Lewis, John Lewis and Joe Lewis.

Memorial donations may be made to The First Pentecostal Holiness Church, 1100 The First Church Road, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.

The family will receive friends at Seymour Funeral Home from 10 until 11 on Friday morning.
