Odis Jesse Allen, 79, of Eli Olive Road, died Saturday morning.
Born in Johnston County on June 10, 1926, he was the son of the late Oscar J. and Maggie Jane Capps Allen.
His wife was the late Lois Creech Allen. Mr. Allen was a retired cabinetmaker and retired from Sylvania.
A funeral service will be held 6:30 p.m. Monday in the Chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma. Burial will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Princeton Cemetery.
He is survived by a brother, William Bobby Allen of Smithfield; and 19 nephews and nieces.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening immediately after the service.
