Kenneth R. Wade, 63, of 105 Chinquapin Lane, died Saturday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Born in Greene County, he was the son of the late Joe and Bobbie Fields Wade. Mr. Wade was an employee of Wal-Mart for 12 years, and enjoyed going to Dan's Country Store to play "Set Back". In his childhood, Kenneth enjoyed playing baseball.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. from the Chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home in Goldsboro. The Reverends Wayne Goff and Bill Cotton will officiate. Burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Snow Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Wade is survived by a daughter, Tonya W. Price and husband, Jeff of Pikeville; a son, Joseph Albert Wade of Pikeville; two brothers, Dwight Wade and Joe Wade and wife, Laura both of Pikeville; two sisters, Beverly Dorman and husband, Dale of Kenansville and Laura Fail and Husband, C.B. of Pikeville; a brother-in-law, Robert Parnell; six grandchildren, Dustin Price, Brook Price, Joshua Price, Kenny Wade, Leslie Wade, and Amber Wade.

He was preceded in death by a son, Anthony Ray Wade, and two sisters, Cathy Parnell and Brenda Parrish.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening following the service at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, and at other times, will be at the home of Tonya Price.

Flowers are welcome or donations may be made to UNC Hospitals Burn Center in Chapel Hill.
