LAGRANGE -- Katherine Anne Smith Fields, 48, 290 Garris Chapel Road, died Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be Friday at 4 p.m. at New Hope Friends Church with Bill Garner officiating. Interment will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at New Hope Friends Cemetery.
Mrs. Fields was born in Wayne County to Dock Smith of Princeton and the late Ethel Mae Mozingo Smith. She worked with the Wayne County Public Schools as a payroll supervisor.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband, Gary L. Fields; her brother, Robin Smith of Goldsboro; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Elmer and Frances Fields of Princeton; her brothers-in-law, Johnnie Fields of Wilmington and Jan Fields of Princeton; and her nieces and nephews, Caitlin Smith, Cameron Smith, Skyler Fields and Logan Fields.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Carol Moore and Rose Smith.
The family will receive friends at New Hope Friends Church following the service on Friday afternoon.
Arrangements are with Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
