HENRY M. MITCHELL
Died Dec. 14, 2005
Henry Malcolm "Mack" Mitchell, 85, 1231 U.S. 13 south, died Wednesday evening at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Born in Wayne County, he was the son of the late Silas W. and Eula Lewis Mitchell. He was a lifetime member of Providence United Methodist Church and the church men's club. He was a charter member of Thoroughfare Volunteer Fire Department and a veteran of the Army, having served in World War II.
The funeral will be held tonight at 7 at Providence United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Jerry A. Jackson and the Rev. W. Arthur Warren officiating. A graveside service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy "Dot" Mitchell; two sons, Danny Mitchell and wife, Terry, of Goldsboro and Robert Mitchell and wife, Teresa, of Durham; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service tonight at Provi-dence Church parlor. At other times, they will be at the home.

Arrangements are being handled by Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.
