GRACE A. SMITH

ZEBULON -- Grace Askew Smith, 91, 20-year resident of Youngsville and former resident of Turkey, passed away Thursday morning, Dec. 15, at Guardian Care of Zebulon.
Born Aug. 4, 1914, to the late Albert Askew and wife, Anna Basden Askew, of Onslow County, Mrs. Smith was the wife of the late James Smith. She was a member of Turkey Baptist Church and a former WMU member.
She is survived by three children, Barbara Smith Bunn, James Albert Smith and Harry Marcus Smith; six grandchildren, Leigh-Anne Gardner, Sara Bunn, Sherry Smith, Rhonda Smith, Colin Smith and Heather McDonald; and three great-grandchildren, Caleb Gardner, Harper Gardner and Finley McDonald.
The funeral will be held Saturday, Dec. 17, at 7 p.m. at Community Chapel of Community Funeral Home of Warsaw Inc. 1654 Hwy 24/50 East, Warsaw. Visitation will follow the service at Community Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held Sunday, Dec., 18, at 2 p.m. at Pinecrest Cemetery of Warsaw.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wake County Hospice of Raleigh.
