RICHARD E. NORRIS
NEW BERN -- A memorial mass for Richard E. Norris, father of the Rev. Thomas P. Norris, OSFS, of Goldsboro, will be celebrated Tuesday, Nov. 15, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church. Interment will be at a later date in Holy Cross Cemetery in Harrisburg, Pa.
Mr. Norris was born Feb. 6, 1918, in Steelton, Pa., to William P. and Mary Murphy Norris. He was employed by Bethlehem Steel Co. in Steelton, Pa., during World War II, and later worked as a field representative for Harrisburg Millers Mutual Ins. Co. and Pennsylvania Millers Co. He retired in 1984.
In addition to his son, he is survived by his wife of 65 years, Margaret Huber Norris; a sister, Theresa Stachovic of Creal Springs, Ill.; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 400 Oberlin Road, Suite 220, Raleigh, N.C., 27605-1351; or to St. Paul Catholic Church, 3005 Country Club Road, New Bern, N.C., 28562.
