WARSAW -- The funeral for Patricia Oates, 53, of 530 Prospect St., will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Six Run Baptist Church in Turkey. The Rev. Gliston Morrisey will officiate. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mrs. Oates died Saturday at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
She was the daughter of Maggie L. Thompson of Warsaw and the late Luther Thompson. She was employed as a machine operator with Georgia Pacific of Dudley.
In addition to her mother, Mrs. Oates is survived by her husband, Donald R. Oates of Faison; one daughter, Juno Kenan of the home; one son, Shawn Kenan of Clinton; two brothers, David Thompson of Warsaw and Franklin Faison of Mount Olive; two sisters, Delora T. Ford and Peggy Carroll of Warsaw; and two grandchildren.
The viewing hours will be from 4 until 6 p.m. today at Garris Funeral Home Chapel.
