CAROLYN WILSON

Carolyn Ann Ward Wilson was born March 17, 1950, in Washington DC. She was the fourth child born to the late James Ward and Eula Mae Best Ward. She departed this life September 2, 2005 at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Wilson was reared her first few years in Washington DC, later moving to Fremont. She was educated in Wayne County Schools and was a member of the Norwayne Class of 1968. In 1969 she married Richard F. Wilson Jr., and two children were born to this union.

She was employed with Burlington Industries in Mount Olive during the 70's & 80's. She was employed with American Corporation in the 80's & 90's until her retirement. After her retirement, Carolyn enrolled in the Wayne Community College and earned an Associates Degree in 1997.

She was employed part-time with St. James AMEZ Church in 1998 as a secretary for the church. She was a member of the Goldsboro Chapel FWB Church for more than twenty years.

She was preceded in death by her father James Ward; three brothers, Hispano Ward, Lawrence Ward and Alvin Ward.

Carolyn is survived by her husband Richard F. Wilson, Jr.; one son, Richard F. Wilson III of the home; one daughter, Angela Wilson of Goldsboro; her mother, Eula M. Ward of Goldsboro; one brother, Mackall Ward of Goldsboro; one aunt, Dorothy Locus (Howard) of Goldsboro; one uncle, Moses Ward of Washington, DC; mother-in-law, Margareite Wilson of Goldsboro; two brothers-in-law, Roy Wilson of Goldsboro, Jerry Wilson (Cathy) of Greensboro, NC; two sisters-in-law, Cornelius Eatmon (Doffes) of Goldsboro, Margaret Burden (Glenwood) of Goldsboro; special loved ones, Mariya Lewis, Beyanka Lewis, Greg Lewis, Larry & Dorothy Elliott.

A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday from the Goldsboro Chapel FWB Church. The Rev. James Collins will officiate. Burial will follow the Wayne Memorial Park North.

A viewing will be held Wednesday from 1 until 7 p.m. at the McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries. The family will receive friends from 7 until 8 p.m. Condolences may be faxed to (919) 731-4338 or emailed to McIntyrefhm@aol.com
