Matthew Allen died Friday, Aug. 5, 2005, in Washington, D.C..
Among his survivors are four daughters, Angeline Ward Hall (Earl) and Patricia Smith Robertson (Fred Jr.) of Goldsboro and Alicia Carson and Crystal Carson of Washington, D.C.; five sons, Patrick Smith (Betty) of Newark, N.J., Melvin Griffin of Goldsboro, Robert Faison (Sharmella) and Richard Faison of Faison, and Anthony Carson of Washington, D.C.; and a sister, Mable Stevens Warren (Paul) of Greenbelt, Md.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Reese Professional Funeral Home in Washington, D.C.
The family will greet friends at the funeral home during the hour prior to the service.
