Robert Lamar "Bobby" Cartledge, 50, a resident of Woodard Retirement Village, died Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
He was a native of Gaston County, was the son of John L. and Ruby Jean Wells Cartledge of Gastonia and the grandson of the late Oliver and Clara Howe Wells and H.L. "Buddy" and Gertrude Odell Cartledge. He attended Goldsboro High School.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are two brothers, John D. Cartledge of Mount Olive and Michael E. Cartledge of Charlotte.
The funeral will be held by the graveside on Wednesday morning at 11 at Gaston Memorial Park in Gastonia. The Rev. Harold Ashe will conduct the service.
The family will receive friends following the service.
