MARY ALLEN

KENANSVILLE -- Mary Tucker Allen, 86, died Tuesday at her home.

The funeral will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Community Funeral Home, Warsaw. Burial will be in the Devotional Gardens.

Mrs. Allen was the daughter of the late Willis and Blanch C. Sherman Tucker of Wake County and the widow of Clarence Allen. She was also preceded in death by one child, Jesse Allen, and a son-in-law, Charlie White.

She is survived by six daughters and their spouses, Rosa and Mike Ponsock of Richlands, Barbara White of Beulaville, Tina and Brian McGregor of Beulaville, Helen and Martin Ammons of Clinton, Judy and Cecil Hall of Kenansville and Patsy and Harold Dale Simmons of Clinton; one son and his wife, Robbie and Faye Allen of Selma; one sister, Rachel Boone of Warsaw; and 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Gary Allen, Cary Allen, Harold Simmons Jr., Jody Ammons, Dusty Rhoades and Chris Nelson.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at Community Funeral Home of Warsaw, and other times at the home of Cecil and Judy Hall, 104 Spicer Road, Kenansville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, c/o Rita Bhan, 400 Oberlin Road, Suite 208, Raleigh, N.C., 27605.
