GEORGE ATKINSON
WALLACE -- George Norwood Atkinson, 91, died Tuesday at the Brian Center Health and Rehabilitation of Wallace.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 3 p.. at the Devotional Gardens. The Rev. Ted Mercer will officiate.
Mr. Atkinson was the son of the late Julious Austin Atkinson and Nora Moore Atkinson, who were from Johnston County, and was the widower of Pauline Grady Atkinson.
He is survived by three sons, Norwood D. Atkinson and wife Betty of Warsaw, Douglas Atkinson and wife Helen of Florida and Samuel Atkinson and wife Jean of South Carolina; two daughters, Jeanette Atkinson Davis and Linda Atkinson Acey, both of Virginia; and 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Relatives and friends may call at the home of Norwood and Betty Atkinson, 200 Fox Ridge Road, Warsaw.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Parkinson Foundation.
Community Funeral Home in Warsaw is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
