MARIE D. SUTTON
LAGRANGE -- Marie Dail Sutton, 83, of 3858 Harold Sutton Road, died Wednesday, April 13, 2005, at Classic Country Care.
Mrs. Sutton was born in Greene County to the late Claude and Mattie Hardy Dail. She was preceded in death by three sons, Chuck Reed, Jimmy Reed and Kenneth Reed. She was a member of Hickory Grove United Methodist Church and was well known in the area for her fruitcakes.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 14, 2005 at 7 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Tosto officiating. Interment will be Friday, April 15, 2005 at 11 a.m. at Westview Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Mitchell officiating.
Mrs. Sutton is survived by her husband of forty-six years, John Warters Sutton; two sons, John Warters Sutton Jr. and wife Karen of Bucklesberry, Harold Hardy Sutton and wife Deborah of Bucklesberry; two sisters, Naomi Austin of Aurora and Grace Carraway of Hooker-ton; six grandchildren, Ashley Reed, Chuck Reed Jr., Dail Reed, Matt Sutton, Marc Sutton and Daniel Sutton; three great-grandchildren, Zane, Lon and Devon Reed; three step-grandchildren, Brian Dail, Donnie Mills and Hope Bryans; three step great-grandchildren, Jeremy Bryans, Kristian and Taylor Mills; daughter-in-law, Mary T. Reed of La Grange; and a special niece, Catherine Carraway of Hookerton.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Marie's caregivers, Joyce Mozingo and the staff of Classic Country Care.
The family will receive friends following the service tonight and at other times they will be at the home.
