PEGGY POTTER

LOWLAND -- Virginia "Peggy" Dare Cayton Potter, mother of Thomas M. "Tommy" Potter of Pikeville, died Tuesday at Craven Regional Medical Center.

The funeral will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Lowland Church of Christ, where she was a member, with the Rev. Norman Miller officiating. Burial will be in Lowland Community Cemetery.

She is also survived by three other sons, Bruce W. Potter of Reelsboro, Jeffrey L. Potter of Lowland and Bradley A. Potter of Grantsboro; one daughter, Christine Sadler of Grantsboro; five brothers, Thelbert Cayton and Jerry Cayton of Farmville, Jesse "Henry" Cayton Jr. of Bethel, William B. "Boloney" Cayton of Lowland and Alvin Earl "Snook" Cayton of Greenville; five sisters, Margaret Whaley of Clay Root, Anne Evans, Linda Kirkman and Brenda Spear of Vanceboro and Wanda Darnell Smith of Chocowinity; and nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at Bryant Funeral Home in Alliance, and other times at the home of Jeffrey and Jackie Potter, 483 Horne Road, Lowland.
