Arnold Garfield Nichols, 89, died Tuesday morning at the home of his daughter, Charlene Lane in Southport, N.C.
Funeral arrangements are pending at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home of Goldsboro.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the United Way of Wayne County, 308 N. William St., Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.
