DOROTHY GARNER
CLAYTON -- Dorothy Forbes Garner 79, mother of Wesley A. Garner Jr. of Goldsboro, died Saturday.
Born on November 1, 1925 in Newland, she was the daughter of the late Murphy Forbes and Jessie Hall Forbes and the widow of Wesley A. Garner Sr.
She is also survived by another son, Edwin Garner of Clayton, six sisters Nell Kyzer of Smithfield, Marylin Freeman of San Antonio, Texas, Peggy Sayles, Mary Evelina Duckett and Betty Jo Jackson of Asheville and Helen Marie Hampton of Old Fort; three brothers, Paul Forbes of Clayton, Jimmy Forbes of Asheville and Allen Forbes of Kenly, and five grandchildren.
The viewing will be held from 2 until 3 p.m. on Wednesday at McLaurin Funeral Home in Clayton with graveside service immediately following at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.
