SAMUEL CLEMONS
The funeral for Bishop Samuel D. Clemons, of 1100 Patetown Road, will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Branch Memorial Tabernacle on Gulley Street. The Rev. David Forbes and Dr. James A. Forbes will officiate. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park South.
Bishop Clemons is survived by his wife, Pastor Jessie Y. Clemons of the home; one son, Samuel D. Clemons Jr.; one daughter, Eunice Clemons Burney Long of Charlotte, N.C.; one brother, the Rev. H.B. Clemons of Kinston; one sister, Melba Moore of Chesapeake, Va.; and three grandchildren.
The viewing hours will be from 3 until 9 p.m. today at Lightner Memorial Funeral Home and from 10 until 10:45 on Saturday morning at the Tabernacle.
