MELLIE SWINSON
RICHLANDS -- The funeral for Mellie Henderson Swinson, 77, will be held tonight at 7 in the chapel of Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will be on Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Futrell-Swinson family cemetery.
Mrs. Swinson died Saturday at Britthaven of Onslow in Jacksonville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl W. Swinson, and is survived by two sons, Grayson Swinson of Richlands and the Rev. Earl L. Swinson of Linden; four daughters, Judy Swinson of Richlands, Beatrice Hatcher of Chinquapin, Crystal Batchelor of Mount Oliveand Irene Walton of Jacksonville; and one sister, Shirley Ray of Atlanta, Ga.; and eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service tonight.
