SYBIL PITTMAN
Sybil Batson Pittman, 70, of 515 Stewart Ave., Clinton, died Tuesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital
A graveside service was held today at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park. A memorial service will be held this afternoon at 2:30 at Graves Memorial Presbyterian Church in Clinton. Dr. Louie Andrews will officiate.
Mrs. Pittman was a native of Wayne County and was the daughter of the late Clarence Vance Batson and Nora Belle Slade Batson. She worked as a Sampson County tax appraiser.
She is survived by a sister, Lib Fields of Clinton.
The family will receive friends at the church following the memorial service, and other times at the home of Doc and Lib Fields, 306 Warsaw Road, Clinton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Graves Memorial Presbyterian Church Music Fund, 100 Church St., Clinton, N.C., 28328.
Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home is serving the family.
