GRACE HARRELL

Grace Tart Harrell, 90, of 614 N. Jackson St. died Friday.

A native of Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Granger Tart and Merribell Creel Tart Jernigan and the widow of Aaron Harrell.

A funeral service will be held today at 3 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bob Bame officiating. Burial will follow at Willow Dale Cemetery.

She is survived by her daughters, Mary H. Mozingo of Goldsboro, Shelby H. Small of Goldsboro and Charlotte, and Laura H. Summerell of Greenville; two sisters, Mabel Cox of Goldsboro and Mildred Sutton of Calypso; one brother, Gordon Jernigan of Pensacola, Fla.; grandchildren, E. Scott Mozingo, Cheryl M. Dexter, Al Harrell Jr., Stephen L. Summerell, Eugene Pierson, Mary Ann Pierson, Teresa P. Day, Diane Pierson and Michael Pierson; 11 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Harrell was preceded in death by a daughter, Judith H. Pierson; a son, A. Dean Harrell; and a sister, Inez Harrell.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service and at other times at the residence.

Flowers are welcome, though memorials may be directed to the Empty Stocking Fund, c/o Goldsboro News Argus, P.O. Box 10629, Goldsboro, N.C. 27532.
