DAISY S. SIMMONS
Homegoing services for Daisy Lee Snead Simmons, 52, of 2501 Isaac Drive, will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Deeper Life Church Ministries. Entombment will follow at Willow Dale Cemetery.
The viewing will be held at the church on Saturday morning from 9:30 until 10:30.
Mrs. Simmons died Sunday morning at New Hanover Medical Center in Wilmington.
The wife of Apostle Norbert E. Simmons, pastor of Deeper Life Church Ministries, she was born in Goldsboro on May 4, 1952, to the late David Snead Sr. and Christine Byrd Snead. She attended Carver High School.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Guy Montez Simmons of Goldsboro; three sisters, Lena Ruth Cooper of Jacksonville, Fla., Onie Whitley and husband, Lorenzo, of Selma, and Mary Ellis and husband, Tony, of Lillington; three brothers, Matthew Williams and wife, Yvette, of Goldsboro; David Snead and wife, Michelle, of Four Oaks, and Levi Snead and wife, Sonya, of Smithfield; two grandchildren, Kavier and Alyssa Simmons of Tampa, Fla.; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and other relatives.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the D.S. Simmons Academy, 900 Eleventh Street, Goldsboro, NC 27534.
