JAMES E. COKER

LAGRANGE -- James Edward Coker, 76, of 133 South Beston Road, died Tuesday at Wake Medical Center.

The funeral will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Rouse Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Mitchell and the Rev. Tony McLamb officiating. A private burial will be held Friday morning at 11 at Fairview Cemetery.

Mr. Coker is survived by a daughter, Susan Coker McCoy and husband, Ronnie, of Snow Hill; grandson, James Cale Hill of Snow Hill; brother, Marvin Coker and wife, Louise, of LaGrange; sister, Shirley Wilson of Rosewood; three nieces, Joan Hester of Rosewood, Kay Lockerby of New Hope and Pam Bunn of Nahunta. Mr. Coker is also survived by a special friend, Bonnie Jackson of Goldsboro; her son, Sam Rabon and wife, Yvonne of Raleigh; grandson, Sammy Rabon and wife, Lisa, and their children, Taylor and Allyson of Raleigh.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service on Thursday, and other times at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Coker, 115 South Beston Road, LaGrange.

Memorials may be made to the Walnut Creek Free Will Baptist Church Building Fund, 138 North Beston Road, La Grange, NC 28551. Arrangements are with Rouse Funeral Home, La Grange.
