LAWRENCE SMITH
PRINCETON -- Lawrence "Smitty the Barber" Smith, of 410 W. Railroad St., died Wednesday.
The funeral will be held at noon on Saturday at Mt. Zion Church of God. Burial will be in Princeton Cemetery.
Mr. Smith was the son of the late Ed and Ida Adams Smith. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was a member of Cornerstone Gospel Tabernacle.
He is survived by his wife, Scottie Walker Smith; two sons, Steven Smith of Smithfield and Dexter Smith of Princeton; a daughter, Jacquelyn Smith of Princeton; and six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Mr. Smith will lie in state for a walk-through wake today from 3 until 7 p.m. at Casey Funeral Home.
