The funeral for Pastor Willie James Cox will be conducted on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Bar Creek Missionary Baptist Associa-tion Headquarters Building. The Rev. Brady Carmack and Dr. John Fuller will officiate. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park.

Pastor Cox, of 107 Gray St., Goldsboro, died Friday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

He was the pastor of Greater Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Kinston and was former moderator of the Bear Creek Missionary Baptist Association.

He is survived by his wife, Darris Carr Cox of the home; six children, Juanita Atkins of Detroit, Mich., Sandra Lockhart of Garland, Texas, Jennette Jones of Duncanville, Texas, James M. Cox of Mesquite, Texas, Ghrandin Cox of Terrell, Texas and Michelle Cox of Goldsboro; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Juanita Cox Faison and Barbara Smith, both of Goldsboro.

An Inspirational Wake will be held on Tuesday from 7 until 8 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Bear Creek Missionary Baptist Association, 1800 S. Slocumb St., Goldsboro.
