GENEVA O. RIGSBEE

MOUNT OLIVE -- Geneva Odom Rigsbee, 80, of Crest Drive, died Friday in SunBridge Care Center.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. from the First United Methodist Church of Mount Olive where she was a member. Dr. Dennis Draper Jr. and Dr. David Hines will officiate. Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the church library one hour prior to the funeral service.

Mrs. Rigsbee is survived by a son and two daughters-in-law, Dr. David Rigsbee and Jill Bullitt Rigsbee of Raleigh and Dorothy "Dottie" Rigsbee of Brunswick, Ohio; three grandchildren, Makaya Bullitt of Raleigh, Ashley Toni Rigsbee of Brunswick, Ohio, and Neil Pollard Rigsbee of Albuquerque, N.M.; a sister, Effie O. Odom of Mount Olive; and three brothers, Jarvis Odom of Mount Olive, Tommy Odom and Bryant Odom, both of Winston-Salem.

She was a native of Wayne County and had been a resident of Durham where she retired as a high school comptroller before returning to Mount Olive. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl H. Rigsbee; a son, Stephen Rigsbee; a sister, Irene Odom Flowers; a brother, William "Bud" Odom; and her parents, William Francis Odom and Glennie Weaver Odom.

Flowers are welcome; memorials may be made to the Rigsbee Memorial Library Fund, Mount Olive College, 634 Henderson St., Mount Olive.

Arrangements are in the care of Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive.
