GENEVA C. HARDY

SEVEN SPRINGS -- Geneva Creech Hardy, 85, of 4506 Davis-Hardy Road, died Saturday, January 31, 2004, at her home.

She was born in Lenoir County to the late Leslie and Iris Hill Creech. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of Holy Innocents Episcopal Church. She was a member of the Moss Hill Home Demonstration Club for several years and taught basket making for ten years at Wayne Community College.

Funeral services will be Monday, February 2, 2004, at 11 a.m. from Holy Innocents Episcopal Church with Dr. Frank Pisani presiding. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park.

Mrs. Hardy is survived by her husband of sixty-one years, Gerard Hardy; two daughters, Iris Rouse and husband, Larry of Seven Springs and Nancy Thigpen and husband, Ron of Raleigh; three grandchildren, Scott Rouse and wife, Laura of Goldsboro, Ryan Thigpen and Haley Thigpen, both of Raleigh; two great-grandchildren, Ben Rouse and Hallie Rouse; three sisters, Edna Baker of Long Beach, Esther Williams and Jo Williams, both of Kinston; three brothers, Raymond Creech of Wilmington, Kenneth Creech and Roger Creech, both of La Grange.

The family will receive friends today from 4 until 6 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home and at other times they will be at the home. Flowers are welcome, or memorials may be made to Holy Innocents Episcopal Church, 6861 N.C. Highway 55 West, Kinston, N.C. 28504.

Arrangements are by Rouse Funeral Home, La Grange.
