Home in Pikeville is shot into Saturday night

PIKEVILLE -- The Wayne County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting on Pikeville-Princeton road Saturday night.
A 60-year-old man reported to deputies that he was in his bedroom at 2024 Pikeville-Princeton Road when he heard three or four gunshots at about 10:45 p.m.
The victim went to his front door and discovered it had been struck by a bullet.
A report filed with the agency on the incident said the bullet shattered the man's screen door, went through the main door, hit the ceiling and entered a wall.
Deputies found three shell casings in the roadway in front of the victim's home and collected them for evidence.
The victim reportedly told authorities he had no clue who could be responsible for the shooting.
