Local, state offices to close

Local, state and federal offices, banks and the post office will be closed Monday, May 29, in observance of the Memorial Day holiday.
Wayne County Public Schools will be closed.
All Wayne County offices including the Senior Citizens Center, landfill and convenience sites will be closed.
City of Goldsboro offices and departments will be closed on Memorial Day. There will be no trash service Monday and pickup will instead take place on Wednesday.
Mount Olive town offices will be closed on Monday, May 29. The Recyclable Center also will be closed and will re-open at 8 a.m. Wednesday, May 31.
Yard waste pickup will be delayed by one day and will be collected Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Household garbage pickup will not be affected.
All branches of the Wayne County Public Library will be closed May 29 and will reopen May 30.
Town halls will be closed in Eureka, Fremont, Pikeville and Walnut Creek. Seven Springs Town Hall is not open on Mondays so it will not be affected by the holiday.
In Fremont, garbage pickup service will be moved from Monday to Tuesday.
