A Goldsboro teenager has been accused of stealing shorts valued at $28 from Belk in Berkeley Mall on Monday.
A Belk employee told police he saw 16-year-old Jaymias Trevel Yelverton, of 306 Kennon Court, conceal the shorts in his pants and leave the store without paying.
Yelverton was then reportedly stopped in J.C. Penney and escorted back to Belk without incident.
Yelverton was cited and released.
