Foot chase results in arrest
The Wayne County Sheriff's Office charged Larry Price, 42, U.S. 117 North, with forgery/uttering of instrument, according to a report Monday. Price, who was arrested in the area of the Stoney Manor Mobile Home Park, began a foot chase when he saw deputies appoaching. Following the chase, Price was also charged with resisting a law enforcement officer. Price was being held in the Wayne County jail under a $20,000 bond.
Copper thefts
Crop Production Services, in Kenly, reported $700 worth of copper wire stolen off its machinery on Friday, according to a report. Damage was also done to the macinery when the wires were removed. WHIS Realty reported to Goldsboro Police Department that $100 worth of copper pipe was removed from a HVAC unit, accoding to a report. The damage to the HVAC unit was $2,500.
