PREP BOYS' SOCCER: Rebels earn season-opening win

CALYPSO -- Tyler Crawford's head-coaching debut turned dramatic Wednesday evening.
Sophomore Eli Aguirre, the team's leading scorer a year ago, punched in the game-winning goal as the Rebels edged South Lenoir 3-2 on the H.E. Grubbs Field pitch.
Antonio Lopez added two goals for ND.
Raul Romero started between the pipes.
North Duplin (1-0-0 overall) travels to East Duplin on Monday. Kickoff is 6 p.m.
