PREP VOLLEYBALL: EW stops Gators in 4 sets

SEVEN SPRINGS -- Eastern Wayne dropped the second set, but rallied past county rival Spring Creek 25-14, 18-25, 26-24, 25-20 on Thursday evening.
Demya Yelverton knocked down nine kills for the Warriors, who improved to 3-2 overall this season.
Macy Sauls added six kills.
Paige Neiman dished out 20 assists and served a team-leading five aces.
Defensive dig leaders were Bethaney Williams (16), Mackenzie Ham (15) and Vondalyn Swain (8).
Spring Creek got four aces and three kills from Taylor Smith.
Mikayla Price had four kills, while Alissa Price turned in a three-kill effort.
Smith and Mikayla Price combined for 22 digs defensively.
The Gators dropped to 0-4 overall this season.
