PREP VOLLEYBALL: Golden Falcons sweep Gryphons

PIKEVILLE -- Charles B. Aycock continued its early-season, roller-coaster ride with a 25-10, 25-7, 25-15 thrashing of Rocky Mount on Thursday evening.
Daelyn Brock and Abbey Thomas cranked out 11 and nine kills, respectively, as the Golden Falcons (4-3 overall) won back-to-back matches for the first time in 2018.
Audrey Dail served seven aces and posted 15 digs on defense. Brock had eight digs, while Anna Girard collected five.
Jenna Oliver passed out 23 assists, while Makenzie Norris distributed nine.
C.B. Aycock travels to Ayden-Grifton on Monday.
