PREP GIRLS' GOLF: Roberts claims medalist honors for 3rd time

SELMA -- Three for three.
Karsyn Roberts earned medalist honors for the third consecutive match, and helped guide Wayne Country Day to yet another team win on the Cardinal Country Club links Thursday afternoon.
Roberts carded a 2-over-par 38 in the nine-hole event.
Ashton Gupton and Kelly Lewis carded identical 4-over par rounds to complete the Chargers' team score of 118 -- 41 strokes better than runner-up Cleveland.
Wayne Christian claimed third with a 171, followed by Midway (167), Charles B. Aycock (177) and North Johnston (194).
Bri Verme paced Wayne Christian with a 54. Annalise Fitzmorris posted a 58, while teammates Jeysha Baez and Caroline Jones each turned in a 62.
Savannah Strickland emerged as CBA's leader with a 46. Adrien Floars fashioned a 64. Taylor Smith turned in a 67.
Sydney Norris (65) and Megan Ortiz (70) represented Princeton.
