Wayne Country Day awards fall participants

Wayne Country Day senior Ben Cohen, no stranger to success on the pitch, was recognized for his stellar play this fall by being named the Coastal Plains Independent Conference Player-of-the-Year on Sunday.
Mates Luis Lopez, Marquise Newell, Nehemiya Shaw and Christian Garloch joined him on the All-Conference team.
Chargers' head coach Steve Ellis was awarded Coach-of-the-Year honors.
Cohen, Lopez, Newell and Shaw also earned NCISAA All-State recognition.
