ELON -- Top seeded Western Alamance proved its worth on Friday, racing out to a 28-6 advantage after one quarter before salting away Eastern Wayne in the first round of the N.C. High School Athletic Association 3A football playoffs.
Eastern Wayne closed its campaign with a 6-5 overall record.
