MOUNT GILEAD -- Jataviun Leake rushed for 178 yards and a pair of touchdowns on Friday as West Montgomery rolled to a lopsided triumph over Rosewood High in opening-round play of the N.C. High School Athletic Association 1A football playoffs.
The Warriors, who led 21-0 at intermission, also received a big outing from junior Damon Rhone, who carried the luggage 13 times for 100 yards and a touchdown.
Rosewood finished the season with an overall mark of 5-7
