BASKETBALL --Wayne Country Day punishes Ridgecroft

Linwood Grandy scored a game-high 19 points, Javon Outlaw added 13 and Cole Atwood tallied nine points and 10 rebounds in Wayne Country Day's 80-19 dismantling of Ridgecroft on Thursday.
Marcus Metcalf added 10 points for WCDS, while Tracey Whitfield went for nine and seven assists.
"This was a great start for a new team," Country Day head coach David Flowers said. "They did a great job sharing the ball and seemed to mesh well... This will be a fun group to coach."
WCDS next sees action on Tuesday at home versus United Faith.
