FOUR OAKS -- The Charles B. Aycock volleyball troupe filed another bit of quick work between the lines on Wednesday, dispatching South Johnston 25-17, 25-19 and 25-13.
Arlanda Faulker and Daelyn Brock led the attack with 20 and 10 kills, respectively. Hannah Carter paced all players with a total of 31 assists.
Now 8-4 overall this season, CBA resumes play today with an ECC tilt at New Bern.

Kinston 1
Rebecca Coor had 18 assists and four blocks as Southern Wayne turned back non-conference foe Kinston, 3-1.
Alexus Elliott had eight kills and five blocks for the Saints, and Kya Hunter provided six aces, three blocks and two kills.
Cross Country
ECC Meet at New Bern
NEW BERN -- Southern Wayne placed three of its distance runners in the top-25 of its ECC meet on Wednesday, led by Josh Raynor's eighth-place finish. Ezekiel Harris placed 20th for the Halos, followed by Ryan Norton in the 25th slot.
Nicole Rodriguez was the top performer on the women's side, finishing 20th.
CBA's Deshawn Owens finished second overall, tying Joseph Mooneyham's school record of 17:14.

CLINTON -- The Cougars struggled in their matchup with the Dark Horses, falling to 3-7-2 on the season.

Geovanni Abrill scored a hat trick (three goals) to pace Rosewood by Princeton on Tuesday.
Logan Price (two goals), Tyler Jordan and Shane Smith also scored for the Eagles.
Abrill also had two assists, and was joined in that category by Cammeron Daniels and Daniel Aburto.
