ECBL: Goldsboro, Spring Creek split twinbill

Natorion Nobles belted a walk-off home -- a three-RBI shot -- that lifted Goldsboro past Spring Creek 5-4 in game two of an Eastern Carolina Baseball League doubleheader.
Josh Hartsfield and Matthew Lewis combined for the pitching win.
Jensen Barwick (RBI) and Josh Lebron (RBI) posted two hits apiece for the Gators, Jake Edens recorded one hit and an RBI.
SC forced the Cougars to use five pitchers during its 18-2 mercy-rule victory in the opener.
Christian Yarbrough, who was named to the N.C. Baseball Coaches Association Class 1-A all-state team, pounded out two hits -- including a home run -- and drove in six runs. Edens doubled, homered and plated three runs.
Jordan Ammons swatted a home run during his two-hit, three-RBI effort. Landon Smothers registered three hits in the scorebook, while David Williams contributed one hit and an RBI.
Barwick drove in two runs.
