ECBL: Fike takes twinbill from Chargers

WILSON -- Wilson Fike swept an ECBL doubleheader 8-0 and 7-5 from Wayne Country Day on Wednesday evening.
Jaxon Anderson and Carnes Edmondson each had one hit in the opener for WCDS. Case Kermode stole one base.
Will White yielded six runs (all earned) on six hits, walked four and struck out three during a six-inning effort on the mound. Ryan Smith permitted two unearned runs on three hits in the seventh.
Avery Browning (RBI), White (two RBI), Ryan Hopes and Cole Brewer (RBI) each had one hit in the nightcap.
WCDS tied the game at 3-3 in the top half of the fourth inning, but allowed Fike to score four runs in the bottom half.
Kermode, Anderson and Browning combined for a five-hitter and two strikeouts.
