PREP BASEBALL: Eagles' Harris chains up Bulldogs

PRINCETON -- Kolby Harris hurled a complete-game, two-hitter as Rosewood handed Princeton a 7-1 loss in the Carolina 1-A Conference regular-season finale for both teams Thursday evening.
Harris' masterful performance -- one earned run on two hits, two walks and 10 strikeouts. He threw a total of 82 pitches, including 60 strikes.
Tanner Bradley paced the RHS offense with three hits, a home run and two RBI. Chance Howard (RBI), Jonathan Peacock and Stalen Massengill registered two hits apiece. Peacock stole two bases. Harris, Derek Neal, Boone Moody (RBI) and Will Albert each cranked out a hit.
Alex Hickman and Braswell (RBI) each had one hit for the Dogs.
Will Gurganious endured the mound loss.
Rosewood (19-3 overall, 13-1 CC) will play host to an opening-round game in the N.C. High School Athletic Association playoffs, which begin next Wednesday.
