BASEBALL: Strickland homers, WCDS run rules Terra Ceia

John Strickland mashed a home run as Wayne Country Day pounded out a 15-2, non-conference mercy-rule decision over Terra Ceia on Tuesday.
Strickland collected three RBI.
Mitch Turnage (two RBI) and Tanner Willman (RBI) contributed two hits apiece. Case Kermode (two RBI), Amane Godo (RBI) and Ryan Hopes (RBI) each posted a hit.
Jon Bryan provided an RBI.
Jack Talton and Ryan Smith combined for a six-hitter and five strikeouts on the mound. Talton earned the win.
The Chargers (6-2 overall) entertain Lawrence Academy on Thursday.
