NEW BERN -- Trevor Holt set another school record and Deshawn Owens tied a program mark as C.B. Aycock placed second overall during an Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference meet at New Bern.
A regional qualifier, Holt heaved the discus 153 feet, 73/4 inches. Teammates Elijah Bryant, Noah Pilkington and Torrence Franklin finished second, third and fourth, respectively.
Holt and Bryant placed first and second, respectively, in the shot put. Jarius Hinnant, Tavarus Sanders and John Rodriguez recorded a 2-3-4 finish in the triple jump.
Owens crossed the line first in the 800 in 2:05 -- which tied the CBA school record. Mohammed Brooks (100), Micah Castillo (300 hurdles) and Tahj Thacker (400) each filed a first-place time in their respective events.
Weather permitting, the Golden Falcons will compete in the Wilson Times Classic at Fike on Friday.
