BASEBALL: Rebels' Bass no-hits Hobbton

NEWTON GROVE -- Colby Bass tossed a no-hitter as North Duplin defeated Hobbton, 1-0, in a Carolina 1-A Conference matchup.
Bass posted 10 strikeouts, walked four and hit two batters during his complete-game performance. He added one hit offensively for the Rebels, who rose to 4-4 overall and carry a 3-3 league worksheet into today's home game against Spring Creek.
Dylan Jones batted 3-for-3 with a double.
