HOLLYWOOD CROSSROADS -- Two-time defending Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conferece champion D.H. Conley cruised past Eastern Wayne, 9-0, on Tuesday afternoon.
The Vikings' Mason Robinson, seeded fifth, escaped the Warriors' Daniel Stevens 6-2, 4-6, 1-0 (6).
"Despite the overall score, our team put up a good performance today against a talented and senior-filled D.H. Conley team," EW head coach Craig Hassell said. "Today was not about winning and losing, but rather working on strategy. I wanted our players to be aggressive and attack the net in windy conditions, hopefully applying pressure to our opponents."
The Warriors (3-3 overall, 2-2 ECC) entertain Princeton Thursday.
